Are you already planning your summer trip?  Know somewhere special that others might want to learn about?  Share your ideas on our Facebook page:  College Terrace FXBG.  Paul and Julie Kay recommend a trip on your own, with your kids,  or with grandkids:  Cave City, KY outside of Mammoth Cave National Park. The Wigwam Village No. 2  Cozy concrete tepees in a quirky 1937 motel offering a playground, a picnic area, BBQs and s’more fireplace. It was simply charming!

MILESTONES:
We are moving forward with the Conservation District initiative.  Our plan has been to develop all that is needed to present to the City Council (and any other committees needed) to pass an overlay district process for ALL neighborhoods in Fredericksburg.  In doing so, we hope our fellow neighborhoods will utilize the information to protect their existing homes, prevent “infill” building from being built that don’t fit into the character of their area, and continue celebrate their unique characters.

On March 20th, the Department of Historic Resources approved the PIF (Preliminary Information Form), which is the first step toward potentially listing a property or historic district in the Virginia Landmarks Register! Kudos to Helen Ross and Danae Peckler for this outstanding outcome.
